BARCELONA-SPAIN (Taken from scisynopsisconferences.com) Aquaculture and Fisheries Conference scheduled from September 09-10, 2024 in Barcelona Airport Hotel, Barcelona, Spain with the theme “Current Research on Aquaculture and Fisheries”.
Since this conference provides an opportunity for new ideas to be shared, our conference goers include professionals from all around the world, ranging from researchers, scientists, academicians, marine biologists, aqua culturists to fishermen, fish care experts and industry representatives.
Scope of the Conference
The conference aims to increase awareness and support small-scale and artisanal fisheries and aquaculture’s contributions to global sustainable development, particularly their role in food security, nutrition, alleviating poverty, and natural resource sustainability. In order to assist policy co-development, Aquaculture 2024 also wants to foster sharing and collaboration among small-scale fishermen, fish workers, fish farmers, and stakeholders.
The conference includes Keynote and Plenary Sessions, Speaker Sessions, Young Researcher Forum, Workshops, Symposia, Video Presentations, Poster presentations, E-Posters, Exhibitions and also an opportunity for B2B meetings on the most recent improvements in the field of Aquaculture, Fisheries and many more… by specialists from both Scholastic and Commerce foundation.
Experts, practitioners, decision-makers, business innovators, and young professionals from a variety of sectors and nations come together to network, share ideas, stimulate fresh thinking, and find solutions to today’s most critical aquaculture and fisheries related concerns.

Why Aquaculture and Fisheries?
The Aquaculture and Fisheries sector isn’t while not challenges, however, together with the requirement to scale back the proportion of fish stocks fished on the far side biological property, presently 33.1% to make sure that biosecurity and disease challenges are tackled with success and to take care of complete and correct national statistics in support of policy development and implementation. These and different challenges engendered blue growth initiative, integrated and multispectral approach to the management of aquatic resources geared towards maximizing the system merchandise and services obtained from the utilization of oceans, midland waters and wetlands, whereas conjointly providing social and economic edges.

Integrated Multi Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) has been implemented, allowing simultaneous farming of several species of organisms with a mutualistic ecologic relationship in the food chain, linked by nutrient and energy transfer through the water ecosystem. These initiatives prioritize the deployment of smart modern aquaculture systems integrated with Geoportal Web Application-Dashboard system, leveraging IoT based technology. These systems are further enhanced by biomonitoring applications utilizing environmental modeling approaches to function as an Early Warning System through EWS-3SWJ software developed by Putro et al, 2022. However, the potential impact of this farming method still requires further assessment in line with concerns over the balance between productivity and sustainability. Application of the software at various of marine ecosystems is needed to assess the robustness and determine the level of disturbance in mariculture areas to provide accurate results.

Sapto P. Putro has his expertise in Marine Ecology, Biomonitoring and Sustainable Aquaculture. His professorship was granted in 2021 in Marine Biology. He has spent many years studying on aquatic ecology, especially biomonitoring of aquaculture activities, in lakes, rivers, coasts and offshore and coastal aquaculture, both in tropical and temperate areas. He is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Diponegoro University, Indonesia. The author is actively involved in national and international scientific conferences and is a member of the Indonesian Biological Association (PBI), Indonesia Aquaculture Society (IAS) and World Aquaculture Society (WAS), as well as editorial boards in various international journals. The author actively publishes several articles in reputable international journals and books. His current research focuses on developing smart productive-sustainable aquaculture by applying Integrated Multi-Tropical Aquaculture (IMTA) using Stratified Double Net Cage.
